Improving womenn's health & well-being

It’s an increasingly stressful world for all of us, juggling family and work commitments, money worries, health problems and changing relationships.

And that’s against a backdrop of even broader concerns beamed into our living rooms every day through the tv, internet, newspapers and magazines  – environmental concerns, political conflicts, development issues.

But there are also some specific issues for women and girls in the UK that Rosa wants to see addressed.

Issues such as poor body image, low self-esteem, eating disorders, and increased alcohol consumption among young women.

Or the fact that some women are especially susceptible to ill health and poor support services/access to treatment – purely because they come from disadvantaged black and ethnic minorities.

With your support, Rosa will invest in initiatives that seek to meet women and girls’ specific needs around health and wellbeing.

These might be research projects, or piloting new ways to reach women and girls from all backgrounds with the information they need to help keep them well – like this great example from Girls Xpress!
