As announced in Chancellor George Osborne’s Budget Speech today, Rosa, the UK Fund for Women and Girls has secured funds from the Tampon Tax to help smaller women’s organisations across the UK. Executive Director Samantha Rennie said:
“Rosa is delighted with this news, and the recognition by Her Majesty’s Treasury (HMT) that small grants can make a big difference. We know many smaller women’s organisations are doing valuable work and were unable to access Tampon Tax funds. Rosa looks forward to helping many smaller groups working in Rosa’s four priority areas to have a bigger impact within their communities, and in their work to further gender equality and social justice in the UK”
Further details of the new Small Grants fund will be available in the coming weeks. For enquires, or to register your interest in the new Small Grants Fund, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
HMT and Rosa will work together over the coming months to look at opportunities for how organisations that applied but did not receive funding direct from HMT may be considered as part of the Rosa grant application process.
