Rosa is very disappointed to see the closure of Chepstow House.
This closure means women, their children, families and communities in and around Stoke will be worse off, as women will be unable to access the wrap-around help their need to turn their lives around. Women’s Centres like this provide vital support for vulnerable women who often fall through the gaps in mainstream services. Dedicated services for women are often seen as an ‘easy target’ for cash-strapped local commissioners. But this is shortsighted, as women are the bedrock of local communities and early support from specialist services saves cash in the long term.
