If you are a Trust or Foundation inspired by our mission of championing and connecting the sector, please get in touch.
Together we have the potential to unlock a huge seam of untapped talent by creating initiatives which create supportive, empowering relationships with organisations working for women across the UK.
We acknowledge that the organisations we support are experts in the work they do. Where Rosa can support them is in enabling funded organisations to connect better by bringing together women’s organisations to tackle shared social issues, learn from each other and share resources. We also open doors and connect them to opportunities for publicity, visibility and opportunities to influence policy makers.
Working with the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and Trust for London as part of the Tackling FGM Initiative, Rosa contributed to the investment of £2.8 million in grass-roots preventive work to reduce the risk to girls and young women in the UK of undergoing female genital mutilation.
Throughout the programme Rosa has been the lead organisation in facilitating learning between the funded organisations, overseeing an independent evaluation of the initiative and developing a Good Practice Guide to tackling FGM.
We will ensure that the knowledge, good-practice and expertise developed by grassroots organisations over the 6 years of the Tackling FGM Initiative is not lost after the end of the funding period and ensure that learning can be replicated across the UK. We will leave the projects we have funded more skilled, better resourced, better networked and more confident in their approaches, with the learning and evaluation from the Initiative as a tool for encouraging further investment in their excellent work.
We are experts in the women’s sector and in funding approaches that work. By working in partnership with Rosa you can be assured that grants will be invested wisely across both innovative and tried-and-tested solutions to support women and girls here in the UK.
